At GrandTours.co.za, we make your Southern African adventure seamless and exhilarating from start to finish. Here’s how it works:
1. Choose Your Route:
Visit our website and explore our curated adventure routes. Select the route that excites you the most and complete your booking. After that we’ll be in contact organising your adventure!
2. Arrival and Setup:
Upon your arrival at the airport, our friendly staff will greet you. Receive your set of car keys and a local SIM card for easy communication.
Be sure to read our licencing rules below.
3. Your Adventure Vehicle:
Hop into the vehicle we’ve provided, equipped with everything you need. Log in to the GrandToursApp on the in-car screen to access your itinerary and navigate your adventure..
4. Seamless Navigation:
Follow the GrandToursApp navigation, guiding you along the stunning routes you’ve purchased. Our app ensures you never miss a turn or a must-see spot.
5. Booking Details:
Use the app on your smartphone to check the booking details of your pre-arranged activities and accommodations. Everything is prebooked and organized for your convenience.

What do I Need to Know?
From the moment you purchase a package, Grand tours will be in contact to guide you through the process and curate your trip to work for you.
Where do the tours start?
All tours will start in Cape Town and for those flying in your vehicle will be waiting for you at Cape Town International when you land. For those already in Cape Town we’ll arrange to drop the vehicle off to suit you.
What to Pack?
Now we understand people want to have their bits and bobs with them on holiday, but we recommend packing light.
Backpacks are definitely going to be a better option than suitecases, you shouldn’t need much more than yourself and your clothes.
This will make your experience more comfortable and depending on your package if there are any particular items you may need we’ll have it organised it with your vehicle.
Will I be Safe?
The inspiration behind this company is to show the world what South Africa has to offer. We believe it can be the most mind-blowing place anywhere and that too many people are missing out because they feel they would be lost and vulnerable, but South Africa is simply too good to miss out on.
No one can guarentee safety anywhere, but we do believe that our expertise, guidance and the independance our packages provide you will certainly bridge a gap so you can move like a local and be a bit wiser.

Licences
Please note, in South Africa a driver’s licence is valid from any country provided it is printed in English otherwise an attached translation or an International Drivers Permit (IDP) is required.
For piece of mind if your licence is not in English we would recommend getting an IDP, it is an inexpensive and quick process depending on where you are based.
No payments will be accepted without a licence being provided for each vehicle that we provide.
